Eagles survive Chicago in heart-stopping thriller

The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Chicago Bears by a score of 16-15 in the Wild Card Round after former Eagles Kicker Cody Parkey double-doinked the game-winning field goal.

It was a tale of two halves as the Eagles dominated the first 30 minutes, yet found themselves down 6-3 heading into the break after two crucial interceptions by Nick Foles.

In a game of back-and-forth momentum, the Eagles took a 3rd quarter lead, but let it slip away with a little over nine minutes to play when Trubisky connected with Allen Robinson on a 22-yard TD to put Chicago up 15-10. The Eagles would drive the field on their final possession in hopes of taking the lead for good.

Nick Foles connected with unlikely hero Golden Tate on 4th and 2 to put the Eagles up 16-15.

And then it was up to Cody Parkey to win the game but he hit the left post and then the crossbar as the ball fell back into the field of play. The Eagles survived.

With the win, the Eagles will now head to New Orleans for a rematch with the best team in the NFL this regular season. The Eagles were defeated by the Saints in week 11 matchup by 41 points and will certainly have a revenge factor this time around.

There’s not much more to say about this game other than the season is still alive!
