Eagles vs. Dolphins: Week 13 Predictions

The Philadelphia Eagles are trying to stem the tide of an injury-riddled season to stay in contention for the NFC East. After two devastating losses at home to the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks. Now with an easier road ahead, the Eagles will head to South Beach to take on the Miami Dolphins. Here are the crew’s predictions for the game:

This is the kind of game that can right the ship for the Eagles season. Carson Wentz’s regression has been very concerning and I think no matter what happens, at the end of the season we will see major changes. However, it’s week 13 and the Birds are fighting for a Division Championship. Today, its time to get back to the run and help the QB out (I know, we’ve been saying this all year)… Once the defense got healthy, they’ve been outstanding. Hopefully, with a few guys coming back, the offense can do the same. I like the Eagles big today and expect their playmakers like defensive tackle Fletcher Cox, Zach Ertz, and yes, Carson Wentz to ball out. Take it with a grain of salt – it’s the Dolphins.

Final Prediction: Eagles 30, Dolphins 17

If there was ever a game that the Eagles could use to get their offense back rolling, this is it. The Dolphins tried to purposely tank and couldn’t even do that right. They are banged up and miserable on all sides of the ball. All signs point to an Eagles win. With Dallas continuing to show its true colors, the NFC East title is back within grasp for our beloved birds. This game should be a nice warm up for the rest of the season as we look to go undefeated down the stretch and make a push for the division championship. There are three things that I want out of today’s game: a win, no injuries, and momentum. Let’s get back on track against a struggling team as we make this playoff push.

Final Prediction: Eagles 24, Dolphins 13

The Eagles’ offense has sputtered recently. Carson Wentz has been experiencing a rough patch over the last two games, and he needs to have a big game not only to jump-start the offense but also to jump-start his confidence. The run game will be another focal point for the Eagles. Can the Eagles have a rusher crack the 50-yard mark? Will their RB corps break the 100-yard threshold? The Eagles’ defense has played extremely well the last two weeks, so if they can keep that up, I think that the Eagles can use this as a building block for a win. Luckily, the Eagles’ schedule gets much easier, and they should be able to rebound nicely here. I like the Eagles to have a comfortable win against the Dolphins, and I’ll make a bold prediction. I believe a receiver, who is not a TE (Zach Ertz especially), will catch a touchdown.

Final Prediction: Eagles 27, Dolphins 10

Hopefully the Eagles can catch some of the warmth that Miami brings and go on a bit of a run as they travel down south to face the Dolphins. This is a no-excuse game for the Birds. They must win and gain momentum as they try to chase down the Cowboys. The offense will welcome back Alshon Jeffery with open arms, and even though he is a shell of his former self, he is the best we got. Expect the defense to bring heavy pressure against Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Dolphins offense. I see the Eagles jumping out early today. They better.

Final Prediction: Eagles 27, Dolphins 10
