Fantasy owners are scrambling to set their lineups ahead of week 10.  While you and everyone else is subbing players in and out of your lineup up until game time, we are here to help you make a confident choice. Below is our Week 10 Start/Sit column highlighting depth players that could help or hurt you this week:

Starts of The Week

QB: Philip Rivers (at OAK):  The Oakland Raiders defense has been hemorrhaging points to opposing quarterbacks this season.  Allowing at least 2 passing touchdowns in every game after week 2 is a great sign.  Philip Rivers should be an easy start this week with an extremely high floor.

RB: Aaron Jones (vs MIA):  Mike McCarthy has very slowly been letting Aaron Jones take over the lead back role in Green Bay.  He has also been highly efficient, averaging 6.0 yards per carry. Miami has been very bad against the run this season and we could finally see Jones take over as the workhorse back in week 10.

WR: Calvin Ridley (at CLE):  Julio Jones has been business as usual but Calvin Ridley has been catching eyes all season.  Gaining targets in each of the last 3 games, Ridley could be in for a huge week as fellow rookie, Denzel Ward, is likely to shadow Julio.

TE: C.J. Uzomah (vs NO):  Uzomah’s targets have been very inconsistent so far and it resulted in him putting up a goose-egg last week.  With A.J. Green missing time though, that leaves over 25% of Cincinnati’s targets available.  If just a couple of those targets go Uzomah’s way, he could easily end up with a touchdown.

DEF: Jets (at BUF):  This may be an obvious one but the Bills are having a bit of a quarterback issue.  Matt Barkley (Yes, he is still in the league) looks to be the starter and it should be another field day for the opposing defense.  The Jets defense is a must start this week.

Sits of the Week

QB: Andy Dalton (at NO):  The Saints are giving up the most points right now to fantasy quarterbacks through the first 9 weeks of the season and many will be looking to play Andy Dalton in a great matchup.  A.J. Green is out though Andy Dalton is historically bad when this is the case.  We watched Dalton struggle a couple of weeks ago in what was supposed to be a great matchup against the Chiefs and it could be even worse this week.

RB: Kerryon Johnson (at CHI):  Kerryon Johnson is set to take over the lead-back role in Detroit at some point but it seems that as long as Theo Riddick is in town, Johnson will not get the full work-load.  Couple that with the fact that Chicago is the top defense against fantasy running backs this season, I’d find someone else to put in your lineup this week.

WR: T.Y. Hilton (vs JAX):  Jacksonville’s defense might not be what it was in 2017, but they are still the top-ranked fantasy defense against wide receivers this season.  Even with Andrew Luck’s resurgence this year, Hilton has been very inconsistent.  Alshon Jeffery was given the Jalen Ramsey treatment two weeks ago and expect Hilton to get the same.

TE: Austin Hooper (at CLE):  In weeks 5 and 6, Austin Hooper had 22 targets for 18 receptions.  In the 2 games since then, he has received just 7 targets.  It was a fun ride while it lasted but Austin Hooper cannot be trusted in your starting lineup anymore.

DEF: Jacksonville (at IND):  Andrew Luck and the Colt’s offense have been on a complete tear lately scoring 34+ points in 4 of their last 5 games.  Jacksonville might be able to slow the Colts down but don’t expect them to stop them completely.
